Playing multi-drawings can be done in advance and any winner must put their name, address and phone number on the back to claim their prize.
Big winners are not given their money right away as the lottery will take time to validate each ticket. You have between six and twelve months to claim your prize depending on your location. You can also cancel your ticket where you bought it but Powerball tickets are not allowed to be canceled.
